Who’s cooler? Part I Air Tex Cooler

There are a few essentials that are required to complete any golf round. At the top of this list are golf balls, tees, and cold beverages. 4 hours is a long time, especially if you’re out golfing on one of those extremely hot and humid days where your only signs of liquid refreshment are the 3 poorly maintained piss-warm drink stations scattered around the course and the murky pond hugging the 15th fairway. This particular review will focus on the Air-Tex 6 pack golf bag cooler.


The Good
- Fully Insulated Leak proof compartment
- Holds up to 6 cans and ice.
- Super strong 600 Denier polyester will keep you on course for years.
- Two zippered outer compartments hold accessories, gear, snacks, etc.
- Carry handle padded for comfort.
- Adjustable, removable shoulder strap for hands-free portability.
- Works great as a tote or even carry on.
- Really resembles an actual golf bag.

The Bad

- Leaks like a sieve. There is nothing more frustrating than a cooler that leaks. Hopefully this was just a manufacturing defect, but nonetheless. This leak proof claim does not hold water, literally.
- Construction seems to be less durable than other products out there.

- Only has two pockets to hold extra goodies

The God’s Honest Truth
- While this Cooler does seem to really resemble an actual golf bag, it fails to accomplish part of its main goal by not being watertight. Nothing will make a beverage warmer and a golfer hotter than a leaking cooler. It would be a decent value at $15.00 if it actually didn’t leak, but due to poor construction, this is not a good value. You’re paying $15 for a golf bag like handbag, not a cooler.
