Swingrite 2 learning tool

This product falls under that huge umbrella of gadgets called "Golf Training aids" They come in all shapes and sizes. They can be anything from a modified club to a glove and can cost anywhere from $10 to a couple of thousand (that’s called a personal golf instructor). The swingrite II falls into that modified club category and is reasonably priced with a MSRP of $79.95.

Here’s the lowdown. The Swingrite II works much like a donut for a softball player. By using a heavier club, 3.5 lbs, and a training grip, the Swingrite II uses repetition and weight to isolate and strengthen the golf swing muscle group. This process of repetition trains your muscles so that when you pick up a club on the course your muscles will automatically want to swing the club the way they’ve been trained. Here’s what we think

The Good
- Solid construction
- Weight trains your golf swing muscle groups
- Can actually hit golf balls with the clubs
- 4 different clubs for each aspect of the game
- Training grip sets up the proper grip every time

The Bad
At $79.95 apiece, most people will have to pick and choose which part of the game it will help the most and go with that club. No feedback on whether you are using the proper golf swing. Repetition is great if you repeat the right motion, but the last thing you want is to train your muscles to hit a golf ball poorly.

The God’s Honest Truth
The only fault we could find with this product was the lack of feedback about your golf swing. Like most training aids its best to use this in conjunction with golf lessons. Have an instructor help you find the proper swing and then use this trainer to train your muscles to repeat the swing every time you are on the course.
The price is a little steep if you want to get the complete set also. That’s roughly $240.00 for the putter, driver, and iron. Maybe you should skip the putter.

Value Factor

$79.95 is a little high but I’ve seen worse and if it makes you a better golfer, I think it’s worth 3 rounds of golf, I’ve chalked up at least three rounds I’d rather not remember anyway

Golf Benefit

If it makes you a better golfer than that’s one hell of a benefit, I would say
