Michigan Golfers Map and Guide
This a great resource available at most pro shops in Michigan. It is a pretty simple little book to read. The book lists over 900 courses found in Michigan, S.W. Ontario and N.W. Ohio. It groups the courses by the county in which each one resides and displays the course on a regional map. For instance, Hawk Hollow Golf Course would be listed in the Central Michigan region, in Clinton County.
Not only does this book locate 900 courses on detailed maps, but it also gives fairly complete descriptions of the courses, cost, amenities, yardage, etc and it also saves golfers 50% off greens fees at over 400 golf courses. The book retails for $21.95. Here’s what we think
The Good

- Decent price
The Bad
- The Courses can be tough to find if you don’t know what county they are in.
- Some listings are very minimal, probably due to uncooperative staff at the golf courses in question
- Coupons are often seasonal and have many restrictions.
The God’s Honest Truth
I love this book. Yeah a few things could be better, but for the most part they have done a great job of gathering information and mapping out the multitude of courses in and around Michigan. I still have a book from 1998, even though they are published every year, this either proves that it is still a valuable resource even after the coupons have expired, or it proves that I can’t throw anything out. At around $20.00 this book can pay for itself with just 2 golf outings.
