At 6,300 yards, the 18 hole Par 70 Brookshire layout is an ideal course for both the casual and serious golfer. Designed as a private country club, the challenging fairways of the front nine test your precision as you play through tight rows of mature trees, along the Red Cedar River, and over wetlands and ponds. Well manicured fairways and immaculate putting surfaces guarded by greenside bunkers truly reward good golf shots.
The back nine, added in 1994, complements the original nine hole country club course with large greens, grass swales, mounded bunkers and plenty of water. Its wide open, Scottish links style layout unfolds over fields, around ponds and hedgerows, and ends with a magnificent challenge over beautiful wetlands. It is uniquely mature, and offers scenery more characteristic of courses only found in Northern Michigan.
