Meridian Sun Golf Club Banquet Policies Facility Meridian Sun Golf Club’s Clubhouse is approximately 2800 square feet. The floor plan is a split-level with the bar and banquet room on the upper level and the restrooms on the lower level. The seating capacity in the banquet room is 70 without seating on the dance floor and 100 with seating on the dance floor. Deposit A non-refundable deposit is required at the time a reservation is made. Without this deposit, there is no guarantee that a space will be reserved for you. The deposit will be applied to the final banquet invoice. Payment Payment is due at the conclusion of each function unless other arrangements are made with MSGC management. Booking Procedures The Club office must be notified of the exact guest count for your function five business days prior to your event. This number will Be considered your guarantee and may not be reduced after this time. However, MSGC will set-up and prepare for 3% above the guaranteed guest count. If your guest count exceeds the 3% deviation; a 50% surcharge will be added to the meal price of the additional guests. MSGC reserves the right to substitute food and services if the guest count is exceeded or when the guarantee is received less than 5 business days before your event. Sales Tax and Gratuity Michigan State Sales tax and a 15% gratuity charge will be added to all food and beverage items. Private Property Meridian Sun Golf does not allow the affixing of anything to the walls, floors, furnishings or ceilings or rooms with nails, tape, staples or any other substances. The host is responsible for any and all damages to, or loss of property from the function room or other areas of the club utilized by your guests, invitees, or independent contractors affiliated with your function. MSGC management reserves the right to inspect all functions. We further reserve the right to remove and person (s) that are disrespectful to the club facilities and/or club personnel. Entertainment All bands, DJ’s or other entertainers must finish their last set by 1:00 a.m. the Club’s banquet room must be vacated by 1:30 AM. Food and Beverage In accordance with our liquor license and food permit, the state of Michigan requires that all alcoholic beverages must be purchased from Meridian Sun G. C. Guests bringing alcoholic beverages on to the property will be asked to leave immediately. All food or beverage served by MSGC but not consumed will remain the property of MSGC. Last call will be given on cocktail service no later than 12:30 AM.
