The Tournament of Friendship was established in 1982. Over years, many fine students have benefited through scholarships from the "Tournament of Friendship", completed their studies at Michigan State University and Lansing Community College, and have proceeded to enter careers in criminal justice and firefighting. It is through your participation in this annual fund-raising tournament that we are able to continue to provide financial assistance to deserving women and minority students. Joshua Palmer is one of several of our recipients who is now a proud member of the Lansing Fire Department.

The Tournament continues to improve the quality of life in our community by:

Providing referral assistance to criminal justice and fire departments in recruiting qualified women and minority persons for career opportunities.
Continuing to improve communication between criminal justice agencies, fire departments, and communities throughout Michigan.
Encouraging the understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity.
Providing an environment to relax, network, and enjoy community friendship.

Your organization or agency can help contribute in the following ways:

Prize Donations
Monetary contributions to the scholarship fund or to cover tournament expenditures, i.e. food, etc.
